Franchitti captures record-tying third IndyCar championship

Dario Franchitti claimed his third IZOD IndyCar Series championship in four years with an eighth-place finish in Saturday's Cafes do Brasil Indy 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Will Power's mishap late in the race helped Franchitti tie Sam Hornish Jr. for the most titles in the series. The 37-year-old Scotsman also became the first driver to win back-to-back championships since Hornish did it in 2001-02. Hornish's last title came in
